Victoria Tong is super excited to be one of the Editors-in-Chief of The Tide this year! In the past, she’s served as a Features editor and a writer for multiple sections. When she’s not working on the Tide, you can probably find her playing tennis, solving crosswords or desperately trying to save one of her houseplants.

Jamming out in front of the auditorium, the RM Jazz Band puts on a performance during lunch on Thursday, May 26. The band played six songs in total, including fan-favorites like the Rocky theme song, and included solos from Dr. Perry, the director of RM's bands and orchestras. "It's not just my music, but it's syncing with everyone else: with the percussion, the rhythm, the saxophones, the trombones, the trumpets. When it all comes together, it makes something that's better than the individual parts," senior and trumpet player Samuel Edwards said.

During lunch on Main Street, senior and Fine Lines editor-in-chief Sofia Christiana (left) staffs the table for Fine Lines' annual rose sale, which helps fund their end-of-the-year issue. Roses will be on sale during lunch this week and will be delivered in first period on Valentine’s Day. "We reach out to like, more than just one subset of people with our rose sale, and with our coffee houses and RM Idol. We make sure that we're reaching out to everybody, and that's what my favorite part is," Christiana said.

The issue contains articles and graphics poking fun at pop culture, literature, RM's very specific student culture and everything in between. "It's like a very loose environment to write literally anything you want, so I kind of immediately felt really comfortable," Choi said.
