Senior Kobina Asafu-Adjaye (middle), and juniors Carolyn Connor (front) and Daniel Murphy (back) cower onstage during a rehearsal for “The Greatest Show of All Time”. “The Greatest Show” is a 30-minute one-act play that will be performed at the 2023 One Acts Festival. The student-run festival serves as a yearly fundraiser for the drama club, with four student-written, directed, and produced shows debuting in one night. “The Greatest Show” is styled after the bottle episode of a sitcom, placing a group of five characters into a game of competition and hijinks as they compete for tickets to the Greatest Show of All Time. “There’s a lot of physical comedy and one-line humor in the show,” said Asafu-Adjaye, who plays Casey. “I dive on the floor a couple times, things are spilling and breaking and it’s just a lot of fun overall,” he said. “The Greatest Show of All Time” can be seen on one night only; February 10th at 7:00PM in the RM auditorium. Tickets are available at the door, $5 for students and $15 for anyone else.

Junior Emma Hubbard watches the trailer for “Heartstopper” at lunch. Based off the wildly popular webcomic by Alice Oseman, the Netflix series is set to drop on April 22nd, 2022. The comic follows British boys Nick and Charlie as the two navigate love, friendship and mental illness. “It’s really cool to see more queer relationships making their way to screen,” Emma said, “I think it’s really important for queer kids to see that kind of representation in popular media.”

Vibrant displays of student artwork line up down Main Street. From paintings to collages, students express their creativity through various forms of visual art. "I love walking down Main Street and seeing all the colorful art," junior Gabby Cabrera said. The 2022 Senior Art Show was held on Sunday, March 13th from 6-8 PM on Main Street. Each year, the art department holds a Senior Art Show to celebrate the work of AP/IB senior artists. "It's really emotional," said junior photography student Emma Hubbard, "A lot of my friends are graduating this year and seeing their work displayed is really satisfying in a sad sort of way".

This year, 18 students will compete for a panel of three teacher judges on Friday, December 10th, 2021. "R.M. Idol is super chill to work on. Junior and Senior Honors Physics students construct ziplines to study forces and the way energy reacts with ziplines. Mr. Pisanic tasked his classes with constructing a zipline that could safely deliver a water balloon across three meters. Junior Nicholas DiSpirito (right) lines up the basket for a test run.
