Seniors review material for the upcoming IB Philosophy exam during a lunch session with social studies teacher Mr. Robert Thomas. The review sessions run for everyday throughout the week and provide students a way to re-learn old material. Senior Kevin Zhang said, "It's a tricky subject since a lot of it is discussion and pure thought-based, but I think having sessions like this are a good way for teachers to help students during big exams."

Senior art students start selling holiday cards today on main street with sales running from the 13-17. The proceeds from the homemade cards will go towards the Senior IB and AP art show. Cards prices vary from 1-5$. Senior Edward Gomez said, "Please come by and support our business that will help fund our senior art show!"

One of RM's largest clubs, the National Honor Society, hold its first meeting for the year in the auditorium. Juniors and Seniors were inducted into the honor society last month. Seniors Ayellet Aharonovich and Eileen Chen, two of the officers, ran the meeting.

Homecoming tickets sold out in less than six days. Lines wrapped around the hall during ticket sales as the SGA sold nearly 1000 tickets to RM's student body. Spirit week leads up to the RM's HoCo: Friday Night Lights. Emma Chen said, "Tickets ran out a lot faster than anyone thought they would. I managed to get mine right before they sold out."

Competing for the National Merit Scholarship, Juniors take the PSAT during school hours. For the first time in a year, underclassmen take the PSAT in-person both as a gauge for academic success and to submit scores for the chance to become a National Merit Semi-finalist. Other students wait in the auditorium due to the delayed opening. Sophomore Akshya Mahadevan said, "It was nerve-wrecking to do this for the first time, but not as bad as I thought it would be. The idea of taking the test was more daunting than actually taking it."
