Photo of the Day: Students compete for scholarships with the PSAT

October 14, 2021
Competing for the National Merit Scholarship, Juniors take the PSAT during school hours. For the first time in a year, underclassmen take the PSAT in-person both as a gauge for academic success and to submit scores for the chance to become a National Merit Semi-finalist. Other students wait in the auditorium due to the delayed opening. Sophomore Akshya Mahadevan said, “It was nerve-wrecking to do this for the first time, but not as bad as I thought it would be. The idea of taking the test was more daunting than actually taking it.” (Athira )
