SNEAKING AROUND, Henry Boone grabs his phone at the end of AP Psychology class, just after Ms. Vires rolls out a new strategy to keep students off their phones. Instead of scrolling during lessons, students now have to place their phones in a designated spot at the front of the room. “So basically, every day at the end of class, I end up grabbing my friends’ phones and handing them back,” junior Henry Boone said, adding that the routine has quickly become part of the class’s daily rhythm.
