Math and physics teachers Laura and Jon Goetz are dressed as 6 and 7, wearing t-shirts that were spray-painted on in their garage with stencils. The two are famous for their matching costumes, and this year they’ve gone with something popular with their students. “We were gonna try to be real hip this time, and I was gonna wear a 6, and he was gonna wear a 7,” she said. “We wouldn’t even have to say anything, right?” Her daughter got married just last weekend, so she says that she was too preoccupied to put much thought into it this year. Ms. Goetz’s favorite Halloween candy is candy corn, which she passed out to students in class. “Well, big debate in my family, I love candy corn. My mother-in-law always gets me a bag of candy corn,” she said.
