Artistic expression unfolds as senior Naima Aubry-Romero and friends paint the new Calligraphy Club mural. After nine months of waiting, the Calligraphy Club was approved to paint their own mural between the math and history stairwell. Leadership Namia Aubry-Romero, Ilana Vainstein and Anjana Tangirala invited students create their own doodles inside the letters. “We wanted to give an expressive outlet for students to leave a mark on the school,” Aubry-Romero said. “Our word was create, so we really wanted to emphasize that through art we can create things and transmit it to others,” Aubry-Romero added.
