Compost bins have appeared in the hallways of RM to encourage students to dispose of their waste in a smart and sustainable way. Rockets have become inspired to make the school and community more environmentally friendly as three environmental clubs have been established in the last two school years, one of which being the Climate Club. Co-founder and president, senior Fisher Mallon says it wasn’t them but he is happy to see the bins. “It’s great to see different clubs and groups in MCPS taking steps to make our schools more sustainable,” he said.
