Photo of the Day: Mr. Willard takes a swing at new learning methods

Physics teacher Michael Willard takes a hands-on approach to demonstrating the effects of centripetal force to his 4th period. Students were able to try their hand at swinging a cup of water balanced on a platform in a circle. His classroom experiments throughout the semester have included shooting arrows, riding bicycles around the track, building trebuchets, dropping eggs, and a semi-homemade hoverboard. “Despite the concerns surrounding COVID-19, I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to do experiments in person,” said junior Sophia Wu. “It’s a much different experience compared to a zoom setting.”
