Boys Soccer: Home vs. Magruder **Senior Night**
The Rockets take on the Colonels at 5:15 pm on RM’s home turf. In their second-to-last game of the regular season, they hope to improve upon their 4-4-1 record. As reigning regional and division champions, as well as Maryland State Finalists in 2024, the team did not get off to the start they hoped for. These last few regular-season matches are crucial to getting back on track and setting the stage for success in the playoffs.
Girls Soccer: Home vs. Magruder **Senior Night**
Girls’ Varsity Soccer has a current winning record of 7-2, and they stand at the top of the 4A North II region, putting them in position to be the #1 seed going into regional play. They play Magruder at 7:15 pm at home in what is also their second-to-last regular season game. It should be a competitive game against the Colonels, who have a 6-3 record and sit at the top of their region.
Girls Volleyball: Away @ Springbrook
The Rocket’s Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team has a current record of 9-1 and is undefeated within Montgomery County. They are traveling to Silver Spring to take on the Springbrook Blue Devils at 6:30 pm. The Rockets should have no problem winning this regional-opponent match, as the Blue Devils have a record of 2-6 and are ranked below RM in the Class 4A North II Region.
Tuesday, October 14th
Field Hockey: Home vs. Damascus
Varsity Field Hockey is taking on the Damascus Hornets at home at 6:00 pm. Damascus is a tough opponent, with a 7-1 record and wins over teams such as Clarksburg, who made it to the state quarterfinals last year. The Rockets have already suffered big losses against difficult opponents, such as a 0-9 loss to Urbana earlier this year. Their game against Damascus will be challenging and good preparation for the impending playoffs.
Wednesday, October 15th
Flag Football: Home vs. Einstein
In their second-ever season, Flag Football has achieved a 5-3 record, winning close games against Blair and Wootton. Their 6:00 pm game against the Einstein Titans is their second-to-last of the season. This matchup should be competitive, as the 2-3 Titans are right behind the Rockets in regional rankings. This game is important for both teams, as they fight for the top spot in the 4A South class.
Thursday, October 16th
Girls Soccer: Away @ Wootton
Sitting at 7-2, the Rockets have looked nothing short of impressive. The team looks to continue their success and stay hot heading into the playoffs. The team travels to Wootton to play at 5:15 PM against a Wootton team that has not had the same levels of success this season. The Rockets should conclude their season on a strong note and enter the playoffs with confidence.

Boys’ soccer has had an interesting season to date. The team came off an improbable state finalist run last season, but this year, they haven’t looked like the same team. The Rockets had a team reset, however, and look to end the season on a high note. Traveling to Wootton at 7:15 PM to play a struggling Wootton team. The Rockets should pull out a win and head into the playoffs on a high note.

The team has been impressive to this point, sitting at 9-1 with their only loss coming to Urbana. With no county losses so far, the team hopes to continue this trend. The Rockets haven’t looked as dominant as years past, but still look dominant. The Rockets should continue their success against Wootton on Thursday at 6:00 PM.
Field Hockey: Home vs. Churchill
The field hockey team has had a season of ups and downs, sitting at a 5-4 record. The team hosts Churchill on Thursday at 6:00 PM, in a game where the goal is to keep it close. Churchill has been a field hockey powerhouse in recent years, and this year is no different. The Rockets will have to bring their best performances to make this game close.
Friday, October 17th
Football: Home vs. Gaithersburg
The varsity football team has started the season off like they haven’t in the past years. Sitting at a 3-2 record, the team ranked number 11 in the county according to power rankings by the MocoGridiron. The offense has looked explosive as ever, with senior Dylan Webster being number two in the state for passing yards. The team hosts Gaithersburg at 7:15, for which they hope is another win to add to an impressive season.
