On Thursday, May 30, IB juniors Audrey Inglese (left) and Valerie Badger (right) walk on the track during a break in their Extended Essay (EE) writing workshop. All IB juniors gathered in the cafeteria for the entirety of the school day on Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31 to research and write their EEs. “I actually got more done than I expected, and going outside was pretty refreshing,” Inglese said.

Weaving through Rocket Refresh, Senior Emily Perkins crochets her Christmas-themed hat. Rocket Refresh is a time for students to catch up on work, make up assignments, relax and do what they wish. "I really love Rocket Refresh because I can actually get a break. When I don't have too much work to do, I like to bring in my crochet work to just relax and listen to music," Perkins said.

Students in IB Language and Literature work on acting out their scenes from the Greek play, Medea. Seniors Joseph Simak, Logan Tannenbaum, and Elani Bui are beginning to memorize their lines and improve their stage presence. For the past week, they have been hard at work to add their own flourish to their scene, such as incorporating echoes to emphasize certain dialogue. "I enjoy that this class provides an opportunity to learn in different ways," Bui said.
