Really, the bathroom locking does nothing; people who want to smoke, vape, or just waste time can do it anywhere else, like hallways, or jam a door and wait outside. A lot of times, the security doesn’t even do anything about it. It’s also not that hard to either hide from the cameras or break them when no one is looking and use the blind spot. Overall, all I’m saying is that the locking of bathrooms doesn’t affect those who use them for bad reasons; all it does is create inconvenience for those who actually need to use the bathroom.
