Photo of the Day: RM Madrigals deliver singing Valentines
Juniors Nylea McGraw, Amara Cunningham, Shirley Hanand and Emily Martinez-Oliveres, and seniors Allison Howlett and Diya Britto sing a rendition of ABBA’s “Honey Honey” to a history class. The Madrigals deliver singing valentines of four different tunes to classrooms throughout the day, as part of an annual celebration of the romantic holiday. These melodious messages are commissioned by students to raise money for chorus boosters, which provides funding for field trips, sheet music, and other chorus expenses. “[Singing valentines is] one of my favorite chorus traditions because we get to choose our songs and spend the day singing with our friends,” Howlett said. “I’m very grateful that we get to celebrate Valentine’s day together and share our songs with other students.”
