Richard Montgomery’s Climate Club planted trees on the campuses of Ritchie Park Elementary School and Richard Montgomery High School, in partnership with the non-profit, Tree-Plenish, on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Their goal was to plant 400 trees in Montgomery County, to help fight climate change and protect biodiversity, as well as offset RM’s paper consumption for one year. Each tree cost $5 and could be either delivered by club volunteers, or picked up from Richard Montgomery. In the end, 286 trees were sold to individuals, and $605 (which is equivalent to 141 trees) was raised.
