Photo of the Day: Mr. McDermott honors tradition with cookie social

Art teacher Mr. McDermott hosts a cookie social for his third period 2D art class. He provided most of the cookies, but some students brought baked goods from home. “I had these friends, Rob and Lucy, who would host ice cream socials at their farm in Pennsylvania,” he said. “Before the pandemic, two years ago, I had a cookie social for my class. [One of my current students] was in that class and he’s been asking me every day when the cookie social is going to be again. I think it’s such a weird word!”
