Photo of the Day: Arvin Kim is elected as 2022-2023 SMOB

Junior Raya Arora makes her pick for 2022 MCPS Student Member of the Board (SMOB). On April 20th, 2022, Students were asked to vote for the new SMOB during their English class. “The SMOB is so valuable because they can amplify student voices in the county’s decision making,” Arora said. The 2022 candidates were junior Baba Cisse from Albert Einstein High School and junior Arvin Kim from Walt Whitman High School. Both candidates campaigned around improving mental health resources, school safety, and diversity.
