Photo of the Day: Ms. Liles’ classes explore international theatre

Students in Ms. Hashem-Liles’s 5th period IB Theatre 1 & 2/Theatre 2 joint class were recently tasked with assembling modified Bunraku puppets using newspaper and masking tape in order to perform a chosen scenario. This group consisted of juniors Rachel Grace, Allison Howlett, and Parker Rock. “For the puppet’s hair, I cut pieces of yarn and lined them up on a strip of tape to make a wig. I couldn’t decide what the hair color should be, so I ended up doing half-and-half blonde and brunette. I came up with this idea through inspiration on how hair extensions work. So I figured I’d make hair extensions for the puppet,” says Grace.
