UPDATE: RM Boys’ Basketball onto the Final 4 closed gym games

3/11/2020: Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) confirms that both the boys and girls state basketball tournaments have been changed to “close gym” games. Only authorized personnel will now be allowed to attend. These games include both the state semifinals and finals games.
3/7/2020: Richard Montgomery boys’ varsity basketball team defeated Arundel 77-55. They advance to the state semifinals at University of Maryland Xfinity Center as the #1 seed. Rockets will face Wise High School on Thursday, Mar. 12.
3/5/2020: The Rockets team defeated the Clarksburg Coyotes 68-61 on Thursday, Mar. 5 to take home their second consecutive regional title. Juniors Shaq Samuels and Hayden Lunenfeld led the scoring, with 14 points each, followed by junior Jabril Robinson with 11. They will face off against Arundel high school for the state quarterfinal at RM this Saturday, Mar. 7 at 1 p.m. “We’re feeling good because we’ve already been here,” coach David Breslaw said, “Hopefully that experience will serve in our favor.”
