The girls volleyball seniors were rewarded on Tuesday’s Senior Night with a win over Walter Johnson. The Rockets handled WJ easily en route to a three sets to nil victory.
The first set was the closest score RM allowed, 25-16. The Rockets worked together at their finest Tuesday night, improving to 7-3 on the season.
Six seniors were honored before the game, Alejandra Borja, Abby Hernandez, Helen Kent, Cathleen Kong, Briana Mason, and Linda Qiu. The quick ceremony, where each athlete walked in with their parents, was a great feature before another key win.
“The underclassmen put a lot of time and effort into planning Senior Night and it turned out great,” Qiu said. “I was proud of how we were able to beat Walter Johnson 3-0. With our victory against Whitman and our recent victory, I’m hoping that we can continue our winning streak.”
Girls volleyball will strive to keep their streak alive against a strong Sherwood team away from home Thursday night.
