Natalie Weger
Meet Natalie!
As a young child, Natalie Weger was always heavily interested in the reading and writing subjects. Since then, she has grown to further those same passions through investing in her community.
Natalie co-founded MoCo For Literacy, a non-profit organization that strives to eliminate the countywide illiteracy gap and addresses the literacy crisis through various organizational initiatives. Through her journey in building a community of reading and writing enthusiasts. Natalie has spearheaded the creation of literary publications, led community virtual events, and connected students from all across the county.
Natalie has felt a growing sense of empowerment through her organizational endeavors. Her major source of inspiration has been her parents, whose can-do attitude has been firmly instilled in Natalie’s own self. Through the development of MoCo For Literacy, she has also met people of diverse backgrounds with shared passions in the humanities.
As a current junior in high school, Natalie has looked into college majors ranging from journalism to communications. In the future, Natalie intends to pursue a career in the humanities with a literary postgraduate degree.
