Over these past few weeks, I’d say that life has definitely been taken down a few notches. Yet, although life certainly is less pressurized and there are more opportunities for relaxation, it still seems as if it is moving extremely fast. April as a month definitely flew by, even if it was a little monotonous because it was so slow-paced and there really was no pressure on anything. However, this has changed my life in that I am now free to devote attention to things other than simply schoolwork; although I do have to focus a lot on APs, I can also focus more on mental and physical health, some things that I avoided.
Something that I will always remember about this time is how much social media and technology aided teens. Without it, relationships would certainly dramatically deteriorate and, honestly, the amount of teens attempting to sneak out would rise dramatically.
My prediction for life after this closure includes a huge change in the way our economy is structured. I think that many of the jobs that were shifted online in the face of the virus will stay online and work at home because it is cheaper and more convenient. Also, huge festivals and the like will definitely be taken down a notch once we’ve seen how viral things can be taken.
